How AI becomes part of a UAV system

Start with a civil or industrial mission. The useful architecture connects the sensor and payload to perception, mission computing, flight control, communication and a ground workflow.

A mission computer can support perception and higher-level logic; it is not interchangeable with the flight controller. C2 / RF, GNSS, UTM and the ground station serve different interfaces. Brazil and Taiwan provide different capability networks to examine after defining the task.

Technology and application

Inspection, agriculture, logistics and public safety
Technology / roleIndustrial application / evidence to check
Sensors / computer visionCapture imagery, identify the asset and evaluate perception output.
Mission computer / Edge AIRun the mission workload within latency, power and interface limits.
Flight / mission controlDefine controller responsibilities, commands and tested recovery behavior.
C2 / RF / GNSSAssess command links, telemetry, positioning and coverage separately.
UTM / ground workflowCoordinate airspace context, operators, evidence and mission acceptance.

Define the requirement

  1. What counts as a completed mission and accepted evidence?
  2. Which exact payload, hardware, firmware and ground software are proposed?
  3. Who controls data, updates, maintenance and integration changes?

The coordinator confirmed that existing customers have joined the alliance on 7 October 2026. Research candidates keep their separate status; technical qualification remains specific to the model and project.

Factory and system demos illustrate scenarios. Verify which data is simulated, recorded or live before using it for an operational decision.
